Tuesday, September 18 was the
greatest day of my life…Florence and the Machine, the greatest band freaking
ever… who just happens to be my favorite was in town and I got to see
them. Not only did we have amazing seats
and access to the sound booth, I also got to experience the studio session …Which
was AMAZING. The studio session was a very
small and intimate gathering at the 1045 radio station. Including the band and staff there couldn’t
have been more than 40 people in the room making it impossible to have a bad
seat. Though I do feel my company and myself were at an advantage since we were
the only guests who got to stand in the back where we could wiggle... and
wiggle we did from the second the ginger goddess came out and too her first breath
into the mic. I swear to god her voice
is divine. Its as though she just opens
her mouth and the sound mystically pours out. No heavy breathing or catching of her breath,
just this raw enchanting voice so powerful and unexpected, it hits you like a rip
tide…pulls you under and sends you gliding into the depths of sea. After your bath, your left blessed and
wondering where this tiny dainty lady finds that wind, its truly spiritual… It’s
days later and I’m still picking the shells and seaweed out of my hair! :DDD
